There Will Be a New Sheriff in Town
The May 8th, 2018 primary election is quickly approaching and Johnson County Sheriff’s candidate Stoney Vann is out in the community working hard for your support and your vote.
Stoney has been a sworn Indiana State Police officer since 1988 and he has lived or worked in Johnson County for 28 years.
“I am running for sheriff because my experience, qualifications, and education have prepared me well to make Johnson county safer and the sheriff’s department even better. I believe the time is now for fresh ideas and a new perspective. Because of term limits the current sheriff cannot run for re-election and I believe to continually elect a sheriff from within the sheriff’s department promotes staleness, a lack of vision, and also discourages progress and change. In today’s challenging world, a leader in law enforcement with the most diverse experience is critical.”
My Action Plan
Unfortunately, crimes occur and that is when law enforcement gets involved. We will be focusing heavily on solving crimes.
Drugs are on the rise and is a serious problem in our communites. We will strive to educate and help those that are repeat offenders among many other efforts.
Johnson County Council
I will be working with the Johnson County Council to create effective systems and reduce the growing jail population from overcrowding.
